More people are now working remotely and online than ever before.
This has much to do with the recession a decade ago when many people lost their jobs and turned to the internet to make money. In fact, working remotely can have many benefits such as lower stress levels, increased productivity and even has a positive impact on the environment due to the reduced amount of commuting to and from work.
The problem with working online is trying to figure out if a job is real or a scam. A lot of individuals get caught out with this every year where they take on a job only to find that they don’t receive payment when they complete the work or the job never existed at all.
In this article we are going to look at Email Processing Systems (otherwise known as EPS) jobs and whether or not they are a scam.
What is an Email Processing System?
Before we start looking into if these jobs are legit or not we first need to tell you what an email processing job actually entails.
So, what is an email processing system job?
Basically, it involves sending out mass emails or posting on social media on behalf of companies to push products and services. We can look at this in two ways. The first is the actual advertisement that these companies send to potential employees. It says that you will be paid between $25 – $100 per email – sounds pretty lucrative, right? After you pay a registration fee you get access to the training materials which will help you send the emails to potential customers.
This all sounds great but can you even make money with EPS and are the advertisements that they post realistic? Many people say that EPS jobs are a scam and these ads are misleading – so what is the truth?
Are EPS jobs a scam or not?
Many email processing system jobs are actually real however you don’t get paid $25 – $100 just for sending the emails out or posting an update on Facebook. It would be great if you did but the reality is different!
Instead, email processing system jobs pay out when someone actually buys the product or service via the email that you have sent. Think about it like affiliate marketing. If you become an affiliate for a certain product then you won’t get paid when someone simply clicks on the affiliate link. You need that person to buy that product or service and when they do you get a commission.
So, when you hear about EPS scams is generally refers to the fact that many of the advertisements that are designed to recruit for EPS job are a bit misleading. You don’t get paid for simply sending out the emails themselves rather you are paid when someone clicks on the link and purchases the product or service that you are advertising.
Can you make money with EPS?
The big question – will you actually make any money with EPS and is it a worthwhile venture?
Yes, you can make money with from email processing system jobs however you should be wary of signing up to these offers. They generally aren’t a sustainable way of making a living on the internet.
The problem is that to make money from EPS jobs you need to have targeted traffic. Even if you have the best offers on the net, if you aren’t putting this out to traffic that is actually
interested in what you are offering then you won’t make money. Email processing systems works by sending out mass emails or posting links on social media such as Facebook, Twitter or even Craigslist in the hope that someone who is interested sees it.
This is a lot different than using targeted ads or having a targeted email list and it is the reason why many people do not make any money at all through EPS and conclude that it is a scam.
EPS jobs and affiliate marketing
EPS is like affiliate marketing.
You send out links via email or social media and when someone clicks on the link and buys the product then you get a commission. You don’t get paid for every email that you send.
The lack of targeted traffic and the often spammy nature of the emails and social media posts that you will be putting out there will mean that the conversion rate of this kind of marketing is generally very low.
There is no doubt that some people make money from EPS jobs however the majority do not. If you are thinking about going down this route then do your research to see if anyone else is making money from the venture and don’t rely on it to provide any kind of full-time income. It might work as a side project but it is often best to focus your efforts elsewhere for the most part and use EPS as a part-time job.
